Sunday school and Super Summer

I decided to delete the other blog and just use this one because it gets complicated having 2.

So, yesterday was the annual Celebration of Freedom at the park. This was the first year that me and my mom and some of her friends got a booth. We sold drinks, snacks, and knotted flip flops. We did good. We made 1000 bucks for our worry knot organization. but we had to much stuff. To many flip flops ( we had like 25 pairs left over), to many drinks and snacks. But i had a lot of fun even though i am exhausted. i made lots of new friends that were Misty's daughters and their friends. Especially Sarah, she's just like me. I hope to get to know them a lot better.

Today's Sunday school lesson was the best that we had had in a long time. Ms. Lisa talked about prayer. we read a whole bunch of verses that god was giving the message on how to pray. I don't know why i liked it a whole lot better than normal but today i tried to pay attention alot more than usual. Or maybe it was God's message to me that my prayer life needs to be updated. that's probably it. because Lisa said the exact words that i have in the back of my head all the time, "you shouldn't pray when you have a problem or when you when your in trouble, you pray talk to god and ask him for guidance or advice." and you need to realize when you get through a hard time it was god who answered your prayer, not you. so you need to praise god. Thank you for that lesson Ms. Lisa. God sent me a powerful message today.


Tomorrow, me and the guys leave for Super Summer. This is my first year to go as well for Jordan and Trystan. I am a little nervous on having to be a lot more independent by having to wake myself up and keep up with the time a lot more, but i think i need this spiritually. I feel like I'm looking for something to improve my relationship with god. I hope super summer can help me find what I'm looking for.

Happy Summer!!

well my summer of 08 is going fine. It's a little boring but that will change when we leave for Galveston in 2 weeks. YaY! I have a summer job this summer; i clean my house. i do all of the things my mom would normally do and i get paid for it. instead of going to ms. amy's house everyday, i stay home and clean. It works out pretty well i think. Now i have money to spend on stuff:)
My mom has been doing something new this summer. she goes to work earlier every day and she gets off at lunch on fridays. then she can do her earends then and we can "goof off" on saturdays.
The church youth is doing well. we are brainstorming on having what we call a free garage sale where we advertise it as a garage sale but when the people come, we give them what they were going to buy for free. Pretty cool huh?!?
The most recent big event was my FIRST dance recital last weekend. It was sooo awesome. I love being in the spotlight and what amazed me was ms. becca [my dance teacher] put me and my other beginner dancer in with the advanced jazz class and everybody told me i kept up with the girl that had been dancing for 9 years!! yeah i was very proud of myself. I also am excited to start private flute lessons with ms.ladesma, my band teacher.I LOVE HER!! SHE'S AMAZING!!!
So my new talent that i havent blogged aabout yet but i will make a whole blog about that. i will also do a new blog with lots off pictures of my dance recital and of our tour of the dallas cowboys stadium. ya its a special thing that not just anybody can do. u have to know the right people and it just so happens that my moms boss used to work at the dallas stadium.

Hailey:

It seems like

me and Hailey are getting closer every day! She is one of the best friends that anyone could ever have. I invited her to my recent birthday party because I knew she would make it very fun... And of course she did!! I love her laugh. It makes me laugh every time I hear it. I also love her goofiness. She has those goofy songs about bananas and words that you probably wouldn't here in your lifetime from anyone but her. She brightens up your day when your around her. She could " turn any one's frown upside down" because of her love for Jesus and her niche to make everyone happy. Today I did Hailey's make up for her choir concert (she has one of the prettiest voices Ive ever heard) and she looked like a barbie doll!!! And I'm not even kidding! Hailey and I recently rode horses for my birthday and when her horse got off track instead of whining and complaining she just laughed it off. That is why Hailey is one of my best friends.

Christina:

Christina is also one of my best friends. Me and Christina have actually known each other since pre-k but we didn't become good friends until she moved back to Texas in 5th grade. We have been best friends since. Christina is cool because she says whats on her mind (even if its embarrassing sometimes). Christina and i get along so well because neither one of us are very shy, so we're not afraid to do something embarrassing in front of other people. Christina recently took a reffing test so that she could become a soccer reff. I think this was a very smart decision on her part because she loves soccer and she makes like 12 bucks a game. I haven't seen her reff but I'm sure she's pretty good at it. She also came to my recent birthday party. She made it fun because she's also goofy like Hailey and I so we were all big goof balls. We did makeovers at the party and Christina loved it. BEAUTY IS HER THING!!! Christina and I have been through a lot together and I'm sure i know some things about her that not even her parents know about her, and i know there's stuff that she knows about me that my parents don't know. That's why we have such a bond. Her and another friend have been having some fighting problems. To tell you the truth im getting VERY annoyed by it because the other girl is moving to Waco in like a month. I'm just thinking " why do they have to fight, Megan's leaving in a month why can't they just enjoy their friendship while it lasts." I hope me and Christina never fight like that. I hope we stay best friends forever.


Those are my 2 best friends. I have many other great friends that have been there for me through it all. You know it seems that lately since I have been more open to making new friends that i have made more friends and i have been happier. I had a girl tell me today that i had changed a lot since the beginning of the year.(a good change)I confess that before that i had only been open to being friends with the people i already knew, but now that I've changed, i am a lot happier.

I can't wait until next Saturday & Sunday!! On Saturday I have a dance recital in Burleson and my mom's going to do my hair in an updo type thingy.Then on Sunday the church is having a Talent Show. I'm going to play a song on the flute and I'm gonna dance to the song I'm doing at the dance recital on Sat. which I'm very excited about because my dance teacher let me use a recital costume to wear in that number its so cute.Ive posted a picture of it above.Isn't it cute?! Today, I went to Sunday School and then we bought grocery's. Well. i have to go to school tomorow...boring. Be looking for a blog that I'm gonna post about a maniac friend.It'll be GREAT!!!Thanks for reading a blog of my life.

Today was actually pretty good.Not much happened though .I got to talk to Hailey alot and I went to Sam's with Pastor and Amy.We got spinich ravioli, pizza,and soup samples.The spinich ravioli was the best.I have lots of homework this weekend.Well, actually i only have to read three chapters for History.We're going to see Granny tomorrow and Sunday to visit her and help her with the farm.BTW: Check out my now blog called My Churh Sermons and Prayer Request Blog.Leave me comments plz!!
